Note: The Program for Clubhouse Research (PCR) administers the CPQ for Clubhouse International for purposes of quality assurance and program improvement. The CPQ is an annual survey designed to obtain information concerning practices, characteristics, concerns, and performance outcomes of Clubhouse programs.

Areas addressed in the survey include: funding, governance and administration; membership; staffing and staff credentials; unit structure; employment; housing; services provided; participation in Clubhouse training; and research activities. The electronic CPQ allows you to save and update your data and create a report that you can use and send to Clubhouse International each year for purposes of training and Accreditation, as well as a data file that you will be able to send to the Program for Clubhouse Research.

The CPQ is critical to the growth and sustainability of the international Clubhouse movement, and to each individual Clubhouse. Our ability to attract increasing support for the Clubhouse model will require us to provide annual data that substantiates Clubhouse successful outcomes. We need all member Clubhouses to contribute their Clubhouse information to this valuable database annually so we can measure our progress. Thank you!

Membership and Accreditation Policy

Achieving and maintaining Accreditation is required for Clubhouse International membership.

New Clubhouses (start-up or converting from a different service approach) are required to complete the Accreditation process within four years of becoming a member of Clubhouse International. This four-year timeframe allows sufficient opportunity to receive consultation, implement the Standards for Clubhouse Programs™, and participate in comprehensive Clubhouse training.

Returning Clubhouses will work with Clubhouse International to plan and schedule their next Accreditation as part of rejoining. Please note that the Accreditation calendar typically books 12 to 16 months in advance.
